We have officially completed our Y.E.L.L. to S.E.L.L. project! The hampers have been delivered to the needy households on Thursday. The households were very glad to receive the hampers from us too! Instead of purchasing 15 hampers, we only bought 14 due to decrease in number of households. Hence, we increased the budget for each hamper and also factor in the publicity cost. That was what happened to the extra money from the 15th hamper. Out of the 14 hampers bought, only 13 were given out as the last household do not need the hamper, therefore it is put under the care of the person-in-charge at Blk 12. It would be given to another household selected by the person in charge.

We(sye yuet, hong yu and adele) would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who have helped to make this project a success! We understand that all of you have got other commitments but it was really nice to see that you guys still tried to make time for this project. Thank you once again!

Next, we will have to write reflections(like what we have always been doing for YELL). Please do write them k! Include specifically how you have helped out for the project(house visits, fundraising, publicity, delivery of items...) and some learning points/takebacks. Please do so by 19April(Sat)!

Purpose: House visit

We will be working with Bedok Radiance Senior Activity Centre as the people under their care will be our beneficiaries. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

We will be going over to Xun Dian village, located in Kunming, China to build this road that is the only way out for the villagers. This road stretches 3km, but we will be doing about 1km as the rest would already have been completed by SP's students. This road will serve as way for the villagers to travel out to sell their produce/crops, hence improving their standard of living. Apart from that, we will also be going to a primary school in the village to teach them English, health education, basic good habits and play games with them. What we do hope to achieve/gain out of this expedition, is to enrich our lives, and help these less fortunate people.
